Trump Doubles Down on Push for Lower Rates After Strong Jobs Report
Liz Pancotti, vice president of policy, advocacy and research at progressive advocacy group Groundwork Collaborative, said that if Trump wants lower interest rates, he should stop his war in Iran and reverse his tariffs, which will bring prices down.
Pancotti said that high costs are showing up even in the push to onshore manufacturing and build data centers, as materials like lumber or aluminum are subject to tariffs.
